A Bleach album featuring Rukia...and Byakuya! It's about time!

In the words of Hiro Nakamura, “やった!!” The first ever Bleach Beat Collection CD, 4th Session #1, featuring the Captain of Squad Six, Byakuya Kuchiki, along with Rukia, came in the mail a couple of days ago! I was so happy when I opened it! The CD isn’t actually what I was expecting, but it’s worth it. The CD contains 4 tracks: 夜空の川, 天の星, Listen to ONE story, and a “talk session” with Byakuya and Rukia’s voice actors, or Seiyuu, Ryotaro Okiayu (Byakuya) and Fumiko Orikasa (Rukia), which is something like the Bleach “B” Station CDs with “radio interviews” with the character’s Seiyuu.

The first track is a solo preformed by Ryotaro/Byakuya that has a Enka feeling to it, in which he has attempted before. The next track from Fumiko/Rukia is a sort of a light, upbeat pop sound. It was alright, but honestly, it’s all about Byakuya, in my humble opinion. Now, the third track is a duet featuring Ryotaro and Fumiko, which is going to be the most listened song on my “Anime Music” playlist on my iPod–once I get it ripped into MP3 (*is too lazy at the moment*). It sounds a bit weird as you hear Byakuya and Rukia talking in between each other; like when Rukia sings, you can hear Byakuya talking, and visa-versa. I wish I understood Japanese very well!

This is the second time, if I recall correctly, Rukia has sang on a Beat Collection album: the first time was on the third track of the Bleach Beat Collection: Ichigo Kurosaki CD, Memories in the Rain–which is one of my favorites. Byakuya defined needs more love. In the anime/manga, and in everything else, especially audio. This is the second CD featuring anything of Byakuya, the last one was Volume 4 of Bleach “B” Station with Ichigo. Unfortunately, there was no singing as this is just a mini-drama/interview CD…at least it gets an awesome cover. ^_^
