Death Note: The Last Name hits Theaters in October

The second live action Death Note film, “The Last Name” hits North American theaters this fall. Over 400 theaters are scheduled to show the movie on the 15th and 16th of October. Subscribers of the Shonen Jump e-Newsletter were able to purchase advance tickets last week, but the public will be able to purchase tickets on Friday, September 5th. Theater listings are available on the official Death Note films website.

This will be the second premier of a live action Death Note movie since the first movie in May. Those who didn’t get a chance to see it in theaters will be able catch it on DVD this month.

Update: A giveaway is being held for chance to win tickets to a Death Note screening. The giveaway ends on September 28th!

I think they’re taking their time with the movies to coincide with the anime which just ended here in the US, though they are still releasing DVDs.. But yeah, they should have released them sooner, lol.
