Last month, Danny Choo wrote about an elderly lady in Japan who was scammed out of ￥1,400,000 (approximately $14,350 USD) by a man who pretended to be her son. The “son” called her by phone, claiming that he was trouble and is in desperate need of cash. Sounds a scene out of the movie, “Criminal“.
