Anime News Network reported last week of Best Buy’s plans to reduce their anime inventory to only the best selling titles prompted a clearance sale at selected Best Buy stores in the country.

The store list included a nearby Best Buy I rarely went to…for the same reasons of not having a great anime selection to begin with. Fortunately, the store by the Hamilton Place Mall in the city is untouched, for now…

Cutting back on my spending, I had no choice but to dip into my convention funds to buy The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, which was originally $22, but with the clearance (50% off), it came to $10.99. It was a Best Buy (pun sorta intended) indeed.

There was a list of stores posted on ANN, but it was removed as it was only a preliminary list.
