Interesting Find: …And Near Makes Nine
The last figure and the ninth and final Volume of Death Note came to my house a week ago! After a year and a half of collecting, I have finally completed my Death Note figurine collection, as well as owning Volumes 1-9 of a masterpiece.
Collecting every single volume of Death Note wasn’t an easy task as I had to give up buying a few of my favorite manga series for another day to make sure I had my hands on a figure, paying $30~$35 every other month. This time, however, instead of buying the DVD from Best Buy, I decided to buy it online for a bit less–and it’s not Amazon.com, where I would have paid $35.99 for it over the $26.00 I paid instead.
But If I had the extra cash, I would have brought it from Best Buy and used my Reward Zone card for some points in the process! But saving up for two conventions that would take place two months from each other in this tight economy, I had no choice but to save. ^^
I previously wrote about my then-growing (from Volumes 1-7) figure collection a while back. As many Figure Otaku do when they blog about their figurine collection, I didn’t get the chance to do it for my own (except a close-up shot of L ^^). Now that the collection is complete, I can proudly display my collection for the Ota/aniblogosphere! But where am I going to get a display case to display all of this?
