Konnichiwa! You can call me “Sanjo-chan”. (This is my internet moniker, as my real name is for business purposes only!) I’ve been blogging for several years. It all started by blogging personally with a LiveJournal back in 2004.
I used to be a moderator on several forums before making the move to blogging. First, it was on A Wandering Poet—a forum for fans of the game, Dynasty Warriors. I was the co-founder of Asian Kung-Fu Alliance, a small guild on Gaia Online named after our old guild on Ragnarok Online. I was also the guild’s forum moderator until the Ragnarok guild disbanded in 2005.
I currently live in Southeast Tennessee (closest to the Georgia border). Aside from blogging, my hobbies include watching Anime, reading Manga, Gaming, watching J-Doramas, and listening to J-Music—an all around Otaku! ^_^
My favorite Anime series include Bleach, Dragonball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist, and just about every Gundam, except SEED… I’m also a member of Chattanooga’s premiere Anime club, Boogie BAM Anime Jam.
About the Blog
CEN.TAKU.ME started out as three blogs hosted on Blogger. It was originally meant for updates playing the MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI. The blog went well for a year, until it was put on hiatus due to a moving trip to Tennessee from Illinois. The blog eventually resumed publication—until I decided to quit in favor for World of Warcraft; a blog was created just for WoW content as well.
A few months prior of opening the WoW blog, I created a test blog just for Anime, originally called NA.KI.ME. In November 2006 both the WoW blog and NA.KI.ME was put on hiatus due to a family emergency.
From January to May 2007, I decided to jump on the Aniblogging bandwagon once more by registering a domain name. The name CEN.TAKU.ME came to mind as I wanted to share my love of Anime, Gaming, and Otaku culture with everyone!
Anime or Gaming?
When CEN.TAKU.ME was launched, most of the content was about my progression in FFXI and WoW exported from the original blogs on Blogspot. As readership increased, I decided to slowly phase out anything relating to WoW or FFXI (except if it was related to the CTM Network) and focused on Anime and Otaku related culture from the US and Japan.
Unfortunately, even though the majority of the blog’s content is now Otaku related, many visitors look the blog down as being Gaming related without browsing through the actual content. (If you are reading this, now you know! Thank you for understanding! ^_^)
As of March 2009, the blog was designated as a source of additional Otaku and Anime related content..
Any content not relating to CTM would have a separate site of its own (provided if there’s enough content outside of the Otaku spectrum) in the CTM Network (coming soon-ish).
Who Reads the Blog?
Anybody who is a fan of Anime! Blog traffic not only comes from search engines, but from loyal visitors from Otaku.fm, owned and operated by Japan enthusiast and fellow Otaku, Danny Choo.
Additional visitors also come from JapanSoc, a Social Bookmarking community for people who are or have been to Japan, fans of Japanese culture (including Otaku), or a guide to what’s hot in Japan.
