Azeroth Journal [Feburary 2008 Issue; Volume 2]
New Breakthroughs…Sort of.
Note: I started writing this post on Saturday, but things have drastically changed since then, so I’m going to keep the original writing as much as possible, and striking them out with the new occurrences.
I finally got enough honor points to get my Gladiator’s Dreadweave Robe for my Warlock! I also found my Shattrath Jumpers (Thanks, Mitch!) in the bank and tossed some gems on it. I still have my Imbued Netherweave Boots, just in case… As for my chances of getting into Karazhan–or any Burning Crusade raid instance before Wrath of the Lich King comes out–it may come true! I was approached by a Guild Officer, asking me if I had any experiences in raids and how my gear was. When I did Gruul’s Lair, I had more Green than Blue Gear, now with the addition of the Dreadweave Robe, I now have three Purple gear, and two Greens left. With my new gear, I have 464 Spell Dmg, un-buffed. With buffs, it’s 717. I may be able to do Gruul’s Lair tomorrow, and Karazhan on Wednesday. Unfortunately, I don’t make the cut for SSC, but it’s cool. I will probably be benched for Kara or Gruul’s, but all I need is at least one boss in Karazhan to be satisfied. However…I need to work on my Enchanting–and Tailoring, since I found out just now that they require all Tailors to have 375 skill level…Mine is 285.
Update: As of Monday, I am no longer a member of this guild. No Karazhan or Gruul’s this week… They will just have to look for another Warlock. I had to “Ninja /gquit” (which I will explain in next month issue), because the guild likes to pick on other members, even their own friends (read: in real life). I have seen fights break out because they didn’t do what other WoW players do, like Dueling. It almost led to a GM call. Also, a couple of players left when someone an indirect sexual joke. Usually, I don’t get offended when someone makes jokes like that, unless it was aimed towards me. If that was the case, I would have left along the other members–with a GM report. I didn’t get too offended by this joke, but it was a valid reason for leaving the guild without saying /goodbye. Plus, they didn’t seem like they wanted to talk to/help me, or one of my friends, who befriended one of the Guild Officers a few days after joining the guild. Whenever he vents his frustrations, she would get annoyed, and eventually, she stopped talking to him. The guild needs to l2interact with guild members instead of ignoring them. I applied for another guild, which I have yet to hear from. I will continue to keep an eye on events until the next issue. /farewell

Its always a few bad apples that ruin things for other guildies. Hope you find a better home in the meantime. I’ve been taking a break from WoW entirely lately.
