I Saw the Sign…

I am so glad I left a guild I talked about in the last issue of “Azeroth Journal” (02/2008; Vol. 2). It seems all they did was made everyone upset by using inappropriate jokes. Now I can confirm that’s not all they did. This one member in particular I’m talking about fits the description of this guild–if not the guild I was kicked from on Stormreaver. We invited a player into a regular Steamvaults group to fill the empty space for the daily quest. We had everyone accounted for: a Rogue, Druid (Tank), Priest (Holy), Warlock (yours truly), and another Priest (Disc/Holy)…The player in question.

Things were going well, until the first boss battle, where I had my doubts. The Priest warned me to get out of the way from the adds in the boss room–BUT IN ALL CAPS, LIKE THIS!! I saw the warning, but I couldn’t move immediately, since I was on on duty to Banish the additional mobs that just wore off…

When we approached the second boss, the Priest, again, warned me of the Gnome adds in the room. I was on it, provided I could find my Rain of Fire spell on my toolbar…

Finally, this is where it could have gotten bad. We wiped on the way to the last boss due to our Rogue getting feared into the second mob in the room. The Rogue survived. However, me, the Druid tank, and the egotistical Priest didn’t. Though, I did not notice this until we were all revived…The Priest did not bother to run back and just waited for our Priest to come back. Being lazy, aren’t we?

After we regained our health and mana, we were ready to finish this dungeon for the daily quest. Before we resumed, The Priest asked for a Soulstone–the very same Soulstone I just used on our Holy Priest friend. Wasn’t he right next to me when I used it…?

We managed to clear Steamvaults with no casualties. I also got a new robe from Warlord Kalithresh: Vermillion Robes of the Dominant. My Rogue friend congratulated me on getting them in /party chat….

Can you guess what the Priest’s reaction was?

“…”

That right! Maybe the Priest was trying to imitate a Final Fantasy character, pre-FFX? Nope. He was upset because of a congratulatory comment–towards me. Hmm…

Anyway, this Priest is a member of the guild I had to Ninja /gquit from last month. I almost raided Karazhan and Gruul’s Lair with this guild. After seeing this Priest’s behavior, I don’t feel so bad for abandoning them.

WoW Video of the Month

So, I’ve decided to include WoW related videos in the second volumes of Azeroth Journal. Since I started writing updates of my progress twice a month, I want to add additional news about WoW. I will still post WoW videos alone in the Videos category. I may add something to the first volumes in the future other than AddOns, as well.

This month’s video was created on the eve of Patch 2.3. It seems that Blizzard is adding many features that seems impossible to implement in other MMORPGs. Who knows? These could be added in Wrath of the Lich King!
