BlogUpp: The BlogRush Replacement!
Remember the viral rush in the blogosphere known as BlogRush back in November 2007? Many critics bashed BlogRush due to many failed promises such as the credit system for displaying the widget [above the fold], a customizable widget [that was eventually released], and of course, it’s rushed service. In the eyes of aspiring bloggers, BlogRush was a failure. It had a lot of potential…
Enter BlogUpp. It is a new blog promotion widget that pulls RSS feeds from other blogs with the BlogUpp widget. It’s just like BlogRush–but 100 times better! The BlogRush widget has 5 links to random blog articles in the niche you choose. With BlogUpp, there’s a snapshot of two randomly selected blogs that are targeted based on the content of your blog! 
After putting the BlogRush widget on the blog, I hardly got any traffic. With BlogUpp, I’ve received a reasonable amount of traffic that BlogRush could have gotten…

From the pictures, BlogRush brought 8 referrers from the widget from the Beginning of September and the end December 2007: that’s four months. BlogUpp helped bring 12 referrers from June to August–in just two and a half months! BlogRush should take notes from the BlogUpp developers…BlogUpp does bring traffic! 
BlogUpp does use a credit system, but it’s much better than what BR uses:
- BlogRush – You get one credit for every impression your blog gets; when someone visits your blog, that visit is used to get your latest headline on another blog with the widget.
- BlogUpp – You get credits–or impressions–for every time a headline from another blog appears on a widget…and it doesn’t have to be your widget!
I think enough is said: BlogUpp wins my vote. BlogRush is pretty much a pyramid scheme that got too much attention in a short amount of time. BlogUpp is unheard of, and has A LOT of potential to be the next big thing next to Entercard. Plus, BlogUpp has many changes in store for the future. Now is a good time to check them out. 
Pros: Much, much, much better than BlogRush, for sure!

Yes, it’s fully automated. Even though it doesn’t bring it a large number of visits, every little bit counts
Hope that more blogs start using it though, so that it grows more popular.
