I’ve been very busy editing some posts dating back from last year to earlier this year. These posts were either very short or didn’t have any pictures. Now they’re full of life again! Search engine traffic also noticed these changes resulting in extra traffic from visitors!

Back in March, I launched a gallery with the Gallery2 software for photos I took at conventions or other fun things instead of a Flickr account, in which I intended to use for that purpose until I learned of its limitations with a free account. Yeah, I’m cheap. 
After a lot of thought, I decided to relaunch the gallery, now at it’s new address, as opposed to an sub-folder as originally intended: gallery.centakume.info.
After the release of WordPress 2.5, I put aside the gallery and uploaded the photos with its built-in gallery feature, but upgrading to 2.6 broke the styling of the thumbnails, which made the all the images load on the page–hogging the browser’s memory resources that would require a forced browser restart or a delay in page loading times. If anyone has encountered this, I apologize for the inconvenience. 
With the relaunch of the gallery, I uploaded all the photos I took from JAMPcon and only added select photos to the recap post, making it easier to view (no more browser hangs!). Also, I’ve moved comments from individual photos and placed them into the main post.

Time for another post of the recent changes to the blog, and this one in particular is very important. It’s about the comments. I’ve been noticing some abuse when it comes to commenting on blogs with the DoFollow feature along with the popular Top Commentator widget. I had to remove the Top Commentator widget last month after finding a spammer leaving comments so they can get their blog to the top spot for free traffic. Here’s an example of another blogger who went through a similar experience. I’m disappointed in the spammers decision to leave their website and have no interest in the blog at all. I’ve also edited and removed several other comments that leave links to irrelevant websites.
Despite all of this, I decided to lift the comment moderation–for now. This means you don’t have to wait for your comment to be moderated before it appears on the site. However, I must ask of you not to take advantage of this because of the DoFollow feature. The comment policy has been updated as well. I want everyone to have fun leaving comments, and I hope these changes will encourage readers to come out and leave their opinions right away. 
In other news: the blog finally has a new header featuring familiar characters from popular anime and game series! I had to move the Project Wonderful banner to the bottom so the header can get a clear view. I apologize for any inconveniences to the advertisers. ^^
CEN.TAKU.ME is featured on Alltop!
If you’re wondering what that badge on the right is about, it means that CEN.TAKU.ME is featured on Alltop! Alltop is a new project from business entrepreneur Guy Kawasaki. Alltop takes the best blogs and puts them in one category in a easy to read feed aggregator format. There’s many categories based on popular topics, such as anime, which is what CEN.TAKU.ME is filed under. I think this is the biggest milestone ever for the blog, being listed on a website with a growing readership.

It’s time for another statistics report for the Second Quarter of 2008. Things have improved since the First Quarter report in March, and new findings that could improve the way the blog is being read.
