Despite being a little over a week later, another milestone has been accomplished! On July 17th, CEN.TAKU.ME turned 5 years old! It was only July 17th, 2007 I purchased the domain name and began furnishing the site was previous posts from my BlogSpot blogs. It felt like it was only a few months ago the event took place.

I’ve been through ups and downs with the blog, though they don’t seem serious to begin with. Being a writer, I couldn’t help but allow the harshness to take over my productivity. That’s alright, though. Over the past 5 years I’ve met some great people, that I can relate to who have been through issues that don’t sound such of a problem, when mentally it is when working to bring great content.

A great man once said: “New York Herald Tribune!!” Perfect timing for the blog’s fifth anniversary, when the great man is South Korean actor, star of Baby & I and You’re My Pet, Jang Geun Suk–my latest obsession. Reading this article about the meaning of the quote, it sounds a lot like of what I think as an artist.

Issues aside, I really enjoyed writing and I intend on keep writing for another 5 years. It was only last year when I was able to use my status as a writer to gain access to anime conventions to interview those with connections to the fandom. Though I still have a lot to do–especially in catching up with convention reports from the past year due to a few personal setbacks. I do hope that, despite my lateness in publishing different content, that I will be accepted once again to discuss why it’s fun attending their event.

I’m really looking forward to August when things should return to normal, with the return of The CEN.TAKU.ME Journal, and get back to reviewing a few anime series. For now, I will finish what I started. I would also like to thank those who have sacrificed a an hour or two to contribute to the blog, opening up a new area of possibilities to their fellow Otaku!
