With the increase of comment spam on the internet, this comment policy is in place to get a good idea of what kind of comments are allowed. Comments on CEN.TAKU.ME are most certainly welcome. The types of comments the blogs receive are in question or provide further information on the topic. Comments are also welcome on older posts, but remember that the information may be out of date. However, there are some comments that aren’t definitely welcome no matter how old the post is:
- Off-topic - Off-topic means the comment doesn’t relate to the discussion. However, if you must be off topic–while on topic, go ahead. Don’t forget to let others know when you go off-topic.
- Threatening/Insulting - Comments that threaten the post author or another commentator are forbidden. Such comments are deleted immediately, unless otherwise noted. Please think first before deciding to hurt others…
- Offensive towards gender, race and age - This is the same as the Threatening/Insulting rule, but it’s more serious. However, the comment will be deleted without any second thoughts.
- E-mail addresses - No fake email addresses, please.
- Advertisements - Comments with URLs back to another site, unless it’s on topic, are not allowed. Leaving the link in your comment (along with your name and email address) is good enough.
- Spam - This sort of falls under advertising, but I cannot stress this enough. Spamming just for the sake of getting a free page rank, or just to annoy others (like traditional e-mail spam) is not allowed!
Spam comments are handled by the Akismet spam filter and is checked constantly for legitimate comments. Remember, blog administrators have the right to evaluate, edit, delete, and deny comments left by any individual(s).
