Gundam 101 @ BBAMAJAM

2009-05-13_00001

Update: The series is complete. For those who missed it at the meeting or cannot find the posts here, there are right below.

I was approached a few weeks ago by Nick of the Boogie BAM Anime Jam Club to give the members a presentation of what Gundam series to watch in the order that I have watched them in, starting with Gundam Wing to ZZ Gundam.

Working on the presentation, I discovered that there were too many series and movies to explain in one day (the meetings usually run for an hour and a half), so I had to split them up into 3 weeks. Week One (May 2nd) focused on Gundam series made between 1979 to 2000. Week Two (last week) covered series made between 2000 to today. Next week will conclude the Gundam Crash Course series with a guide to the Gundam movies and OVAs (Original Video Animation).

Anyone who is interested in Gundam and/or missed the previous presentations in person, I will be doing this right here on CTM on starting on May 25th and will last throughout the week. It will be explained in the same order as in the meetings, along with any extra information I might have forgotten.

Everybody enjoyed the presentations so far… except for last week when it ran short, due to a couple of reasons: the lack of Gundam series made this decade (the series I’ve seen, at least), and distractions from an unsupervised child who roamed around the manga section making meowing noises and an unfortunate annoyed moan right before I talked about Gundam SEED Destiny(*ahem*)
