Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2: About Time?

Anime News Network reports that the long waited sequel(?) to the first Haruhi Suzumiya anime is set for an April air date. The report comes from 2ch of an advertisement of the upcoming March issue of NewType (Japan) featuring Yuki Nagato:

In late 2007, a teaser was released with hints of a new Haruhi anime focusing around the events of the conclusion of Season 1. It’s been a while since I’ve watch the first season, but this is actually quite a convenience with the new Fullmetal Alchemist airing the same month.

ummm just would like to say…. you were wrong its may 5th 2009 and there is still no season 2 now im not trying to be critical here but you might want to take this down be4 people see this and are like its already out? then they go search for it for 1-3 hours till the realise that it was just the mistake of one guy thank you

This was originally a speculation post about the second season when it was first “announced” and there wasn’t anything further about it; hence the “about time?” title. Sure, I’ll edit it, but not take it down because I was wrong. People can make mistakes..
