Limited Edition Death Note Collector Figurines

My Death Note figure collection is almost complete!

My Death Note figure collection is almost complete!

I’m currently collecting the Limited Edition Death Note figures that comes with the DVDs. Right now I have 7 out of 9 figures, and there’s only 2 more left to go! I started collecting them as soon as Viz announced the DVD extras.

Buying them at Best Buy, I got a few breaks on the price; Amazon sells the DVD/Figure Bundle for $35.99: the last 3 figures I’ve purchased only cost me $25! Unfortunately, the Volume 7 Bundle I recently purchased was at the Amazon price. Volume 6 was probably the last time you get these for cheap (I wonder if Best Buy will go up on the price to make up for the loss if someone from the corporate department sees this post).

The final volume of the DVD will be released in February. Volume 8 is due out in mid December. With money being very tight, I’ve been lucky getting these almost a month after release. Maybe after getting the Volume 9, I should treat myself to a Death Note marathon.

I don’t know if I should leave them as is or take them out of the box and invest in a display case for figurines. It’s thanks to buying these figures, and reading the Super Heroes Base and Apple‘s post on her One Piece figures that got me into looking at buying more figures, especially Gundam model kits. ^_^
