Lucky Star is an anime about school and girls. Didn’t I see this anime before? I think it was called Azumanga Daioh. Anywho, this show is a hit in Japan. It sold A LOT of copies of the limited edition DVD, and is a likely target for the next big anime in the US next to “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” (Which happens to be created by the same studio).

The first episode of Lucky Star starts off about food. The frightening adorable girls discuss the way they eat their favorite snacks. The second part of the episode, the girls talked about a recent crime report about a boy. The main character thinks that the crime was inspired by a ecchi game. Later, a classmate of theirs stays at home due to a cold, so they visit her–and end up talking about food–again. At last few minutes of the episode, the girls are back at school, with a familiar situation from the first few minutes of the episode…

Not much here to say about the show. Although it doesn’t hurt to watch. If you’re a big fan of “school girl” anime, well, go ahead and check it out. I do plan on watching more of this show, after I my Bleach addiction under control…
