Luffy Fuses With Goku–as an Figurine

The fusion technique is actually good for something
I found something interesting while browsing Play-Asia’s toys and figures page. Two figurines featuring Goku from Dragonball Z and Luffy D. Monkey from One Piece. However, their roles have been switched: Luffy is Goku, and Goku is Luffy!
These are being released as a part of the 40th Anniversary of Shounen Jump magazine in Japan. The figures show Luffy in Goku’s famous orange gi, and Goku in Luffy’s red shirt and shorts–including the straw hat. The figures will be released in November, and of course, they are limited edition. Anyone who is interested can order them from Play-Asia: Goku -> Luffy; Luffy -> Goku. I would probably get them for myself as an early Christmas present. ^_^

This is quite possibly one of the coolest things I’ve seen! before reading anything I saw this and thought, wait Luffy looks a lot like Goku. This is awesome! Is it intended as a spoof?
It’s more of a tribute to both One Piece and Dragonball Z since both series are popular and they are getting animated specials this fall for Shounen Jump’s 40th anniversary. I wonder if they’ll make something with Naruto x Bleach characters..
Wheew… I’ve even forgotten that Goku can Fusion… ^^;
Just Imagine,, what Jutsu will they use?? Kame Hame Bazoka?? Gomu-Gomu Ha?? XD
Anyway.. It’s Likely Akira Toritama ( DBZ Author) With Seichiro Oda?? (am i mistaken?? ) was a close friend, in One Piece 10th anniversary’s book, last year, Akira Toriyama and that One Piece Author was making a short comic that contain One piece and DBZ therer… ^^;
