The trailer for Episode 2 of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn is up on Bandai’s AnimeChannel YouTube channel. It’s been almost a year since the first episode, The Day of the Unicorn was released, where we are introduced to Banagher and Audrey. The second episode introduces Full Frontal, the Char of Unicorn.

It looks like Char, but... it looks like Char.

The second episode, “The Red Comet”, is expected to reveal Banagher’s potential as a (Newtype?) pilot, and his new rivalry between Full Frontal. I’m sure this and the next episode will follow the mandatory character development as in the original and spinoffs, unless there’s a surprise…

The first episode may have been a little confusing (but not too confusing) with the story, but as always, the episode that’s filled with epic space fights is sure to keep story exciting--with the exception of having to wait a few years to see the entire story unfold.

Unicorn Gundam is cleared for battle!

A word of warning: the trailer will spoil the last few minutes of the first episode for those who have yet to see it, but the rest is the preview of The Red Comet. Episode 2 will be released November 12th, 2010 on Blu-ray (with Japanese and English dub, available for pre-order on CDJapan) and DVD (Region 2 only), and on October 30th on Playstation Network.
