A new World of Warcraft expansion pack has been confirmed at Blizzcon 2007 today. The new expansion will be called “Wrath of the Lich King”.

The level cap will be raised to 80, a new map to explore: Northrend, there will be a new class: Death Knight, also players will be able to customize their character with new hairstyles. Plus, new battlegrounds have been announced!

This is neat, though it’s bad for new players. The Burning Crusade has been out for 8 months, and many new players, like myself, are still exploring Outland. It has been nearly a month since I hit level 70, I have yet to fully experience Arena, and as far as raiding goes, I will miss out on Karazhan. Hopefully, this will be released in the second quarter of 2009. This will give everybody time to do everything before going to Northrend.
