Before going back home, the Shinigami awarded him the title of Substitute Shinigami, so he can come back to SS anytime he wants, like the case of this episode. Rukia eventually got her powers back, and started using her own Bankai, "Sode no Mai". She uses it for the first time in the Bount arc, the next storyline after Soul Society. I'm so behind in the Bleach series, and I need to catch up fast. First of all, I'm surprised to see that Rukia has a sword in her hand, since I don't think that she's a good fighter anyway. She must have her powers back. I'm also surprised to see that Ichigo is still in the Soul Society. Did he ever come home after rescuing Rukia? Thanks for this review.
