Nope, it's not in the manga... The Amagai arc is just a filler arc to pass the time until the remainder of the current arc (Hueco Mundo) is explained enough before it's covered in the anime. The arc is set between the end of the Soul Society arc and before they pursue actually Aizen. (This was a little weird to me as well lol).

Basically, it's an original storyline for the anime, but it shouldn't be taken seriously when it's compared with the cannon arcs (that excludes the Bounto arc, of course). ^^

i am currently a few Episodes into the Amagi Arc of the anime.

I havent read the manga so i don't know if it happens in the manga, but if it is making me a little confused, especially how they ended the previous arc.

Anyways, If this happened in the actual story, i would like to know when.

Right now i am trying to think about when it could happen. Since so far seeing what happens in the arc so far its obviously past the soul society arc.

As for what i think, This arc could be a more futuristic setting. I see it fitting after they defeat Aizen or if not beating him, a time after they pushed him and his team in to temporary hiding.

Thats all i can think of since i am not much into the arc.

I have to agree with Joana that the Bount arc was more interesting to watch, especially since it tied into him evolving into one of those Vaizards. This one he didn't really seem to evolve much, or even have much of a weakness.

As for the the we, us, ours comment. I didn't really find anything peculiar about those lines. My family in Tokyo is a fairly old generation, and I was brought up to speak like that at an early age. It was something I could relate to. I would attribute that to more of an old fashion shogun era type of dialect, than anything else. The translator should have put them in as old fashioned thou, thy, thyself etc in my opinion.

In the beginning it did look interesting, but honestly, I enjoyed the Bount arc more than this one. I'm just glad we're finally getting back on track. The events of the manga right now are exciting and I want to get to them in the anime ASAP! ^_^
