Whoever designed this shirt deserves a box of Pocky!

This is the greatest Dragonball Z T-Shirt ever made! When I saw this at Hot Topic, I had to get this shirt, no matter what it takes. Fortunately, I got some extra money, thanks to the US Government… I hope we get more of that.

Unfortunately, when I went back to the Hot Topic at Hamilton Place and at Northgate in Hixson, they either didn’t have it at all or it didn’t come in my size. I had to order it from Hot Topic’s website, which came a few days after I place an order, along with a 5% discount! This came almost a couple of weeks ago, but I didn’t think about posting a picture of it until now. I wanted to share this photo with fellow DBZ fans around the world; if you’re a Vegeta and or Goku fan, this shirt is a must have. Personally, this is the first Dragonball Z shirt I’ve bought in several years.

Luffy Fuses With Goku–as an Figurine

The fusion technique is actually good for something

The fusion technique is actually good for something

I found something interesting while browsing Play-Asia’s toys and figures page. Two figurines featuring Goku from Dragonball Z and Luffy D. Monkey from One Piece. However, their roles have been switched: Luffy is Goku, and Goku is Luffy!

These are being released as a part of the 40th Anniversary of Shounen Jump magazine in Japan. The figures show Luffy in Goku’s famous orange gi, and Goku in Luffy’s red shirt and shorts–including the straw hat. The figures will be released in November, and of course, they are limited edition. Anyone who is interested can order them from Play-Asia: Goku -> Luffy; Luffy -> Goku. I would probably get them for myself as an early Christmas present. ^_^

2008-07-18_00006-433x324 [Review] Dragonball Z: The Plan to Destroy the Saiya-jins

Title: Dragonball Z: The Plan to Destroy the Saiya-jin (サイヤ人絶滅計画)
Studio: Bird Studio
Type: OVA
Year: 1994

Summary Huh? There’s more of Dragonball Z?! Yes, there is! In case you haven’t been to just about every DBZ fansite on the web, even those that are in a language different from what you already know, there is a Dragonball Z OVA (Original Video Animation) somewhere on one of these websites. I won’t say which one (they will come after me if I mention them), but it’s likely that it won’t be licensed soon due to the way this released. You’ll find out soon enough.

Warning: This post contains spoilers! Read at your own risk!

Live Action Dragonball Movie Poster featuring Goku

2008-07-20_00001 Live Action Dragonball Movie Poster featuring Goku

The more I see photos of the upcoming live action Dragonball movie, the more expectations I have for it. This new movie poster shown above shows War of the Worlds’ Justin Chatwin, who plays Son Goku in the movie, equipped with the famous orange gi, with the Kanji “Kame” on the back. I must say that this is better than the fake Dragonball Z movie posters surfaced several years ago. Will you go see it when it comes out on March 13th, 2009?

New Dragonball on the Way?!

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 | Anime & Manga with 6 Comments

04-30-2008_00001-300x270 New Dragonball on the Way?! This could be the answer to the decade old question we’ve been looking for! To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Weekly Shounen Jump in Japan, two anime series, including two unconfirmed series, will be getting all new specials as part of the “Jump Super Anime Tour” that will visit 10 Japanese cities to mark the 40th anniversary. The series that will be getting specials are One Piece and Dragonball (no further information on whether it will be Z or GT). There is no word as of yet on the unannounced series, but rumor has it that they could be Bleach and Gintama specials. Specials of Bleach, One Piece, and Gintama are really exciting, but what’s really important is that we get to see more Dragonball for the first time in 12 years, and not just in the video games! I wonder if it will be a Dragonball Z special…*keeps fingers crossed*
