The Gallery is Open for Business!

In preparation of the upcoming convention season (and to give my new Sanyo E760 something to “smile” about!), I decided to create my own gallery to upload convention/cosplay photos easily, Flickr-style. After trying Flickr out, I wasn’t happy with the features given to free members: 100 MB bandwidth limit per month, 3 photo sets, and all of the photos won’t show if you have 200 or more unless you search or direct link to them. I could have gotten the Pro account for $25 a year, but it’s not worth it since I could just use Gallery2 and host it on my blog for $4 a month. I have a World of Warcraft subscription to keep up…
Right now, only administrators can upload photos. I plan to allow others to upload their own photos in the future. As for the kind of photos that will be displayed, it will focus on only convention and cosplay-related photos. The only album online are photos from Anime Central 2006. There’s not many decent photos since I did not have a great camera at the time.

you guys are soooooooo lucky!! I swear, anime is so big in India…but we’ll never ever get to see a REAL convention here. The only conventions that are even remotely close are stupid cartoon network conventions

Anime is big just about everywhere, and I think there’s not enough anime conventions ANYWHERE, unless you live in a certain area, like in California here in the States, where there are too many. I agree those cartoon conventions are lame, and so do SciFi cons…I can’t see myself dressed up as Ichigo hanging around Captain Kirk cosplayers. D; There are conventions popping up around the world, especially in the UK, so maybe there will be one in India very soon.
