[Video] The Rise and Fall of Fansubbing

This 5 part video series created by fanartist OtaKing takes a look at the Rise and Fall of Fansubbing, from the days of VHS subbing to digital subbing. This documentary also points out the faults with free (illegal) downloads of series that have been long licensed and the collapse of prominent anime companies such as Geneon. With the growing interest in legal distribution of popular series, this is an interesting documentary of how anime became what it is today, and a further discussion of ways to save the industry. ;)
