[Video] Up Close and Personal with Solid Snake

You’ve played Metal Gear Solid for years and have yet to get to know the actors behind the voices, especially the voice of Solid Snake. You get to know who they are..well, at least one of them..right now!

In Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, there are several segments in the game that are PMC sponsored programs and commercials. One of the programs, “Celebrity Moralist”, feature the voice of Solid Snake, David Hayter! The host of the program is Lee Merriweather (who voices Big Mama in the game) harasses Hayter in typical “Inside the Actors’ Studio” fashion. This is the first time I have heard his English speaking voice. For those who have yet to play MGS4, there’s no spoilers.

Actually, the Japanese voice actor for Snake is an older guy. His name is Aiko Ohtsuka..if you watch Bleach, he does the voice of Captain Kyoraku. He’s also done some more anime, some I’m not familiar with. I’ve read comments on blogs that Ohtsuka’s version of Old Snake fits, while Hayter’s is not as “old”..but David’s voice acting is so good it doesn’t really matter.
