The Japanese version of the popular Korean MMORPG, MapleStory, will be getting a taste of Fullmetal Alchemist. For a limited time on the 31st, players can customize their characters to appear as Fullmetal Alchemist characters, as well as obtaining items from the series.

It’s pretty much a huge promotion campaign for the FMA: Brotherhood series still airing in Japan, and for the DVD and Blu-ray releases… (I’m sure at some point, the US version of MapleStory will be getting this… )

However, I must put this out there that this isn’t the first time that they’ve tried to replicate a character from an Anime series. I’m not sure if anyone noticed this, but there’s a character in MapleStory by the name of Rain. I found her sitting around the town while playing MS myself in 2005.

Not that many characters in Anime and Games with that name—except for a Korean singer. But the character does look familiar…

I wonder who she looks like… If I remember correctly, I saw this character from G Gundam. I think she has the name “Rain”, and her last name is Mikamura
